I am on H1B expiring in Nov 2010.I am planning to leave the country for good and i am planning to still continue trading stocks online from my home country and pay Taxes for the profit/losses every year.. Is it okay to do it this way.. or any problems...

I am on H1B extension. Means my stamp is expired.
I have a ticket to go to India. I am traveling through the following route

Boston- London- Bahrain - Bombay.

I heard that I need to have transit visa for UK as my connection is in UK (2 Hrs).
I don't have the UK visa and I will not have the US visa at the time of entry in UK.

I have very sort time now in my hand.

1. I really need to have the UK transit visa?
2. Yes then how to get this?

What should I do now?

I am looking for work. Not too concerned with how much money I make, but would like some money for jobs. I can program some mildly advanced AS, and I can draw some Flash vector art, as well as pixel art. I have Macromedia Freehand, so if you need pictures traced for use in Flash, I can do it, save it as a .eps and email it to you. If anyone has any work for me, please post or PM me.

Sen. Robert Menendez (D-N.J.) is still holding hostage E-Verify reauthorization legislation in the Senate until he gets 500,000 additional permanent foreign worker visas. These are simple "skilled" visas, where an individual doesn't need any specialized training or education (other than two years of college). As such, the legislation would keep a half-million Americans out of work. Senate leadership is considering taking up the E-Verify reauthorization bill today before members depart for summer recess, so Senators are negotiating with Menendez in order to reach an accommodation.

Is there any direction from Members on this.

I am currently working for Company A on h1b, expiring on May 31st 2010. The GC application is denied based on on A2p issue with company A.

I had company B already filed for my labor in 2008 and approved in Jan 2009. They also filed concurrent 140 and 485 in March 2009 which is still pending. Company B wanted to hire me and now its time that I move to company B. I do have latest paystubs from Company A, currently valid i797 and experience letter.

can I migrate to company B by transfering my h1b based on approved labor with company b and pending GC application. What documents are required to transfer.

Hi,
I received an RFE for proof of maintaining legal US residence in the form of I-797 forms of H1b extension or EADs etc. What was surprising is that we had not filed a medical exam with the original 485 application as we couldnt get an appointment in time before the retrogression and thus have been waiting for an RFE for the same. Yet they have not asked for it.

Can we (in addition to providing the required docs for the RFE), send the medical exam sealed envelope (obtained later but within the past year) even though it wasnt requested yet? The USCIS provided envelope is of course too small to put everything into but we plan to attach it to the couriered docs. Does this sound reasonable?

My I 485 package was returned as it didnt have the approval notice of I 140, which was submitted a day later than I485 by my company.
It is such a frustrating situation as i have been waiting since 1999 for my GC , and when i got this golden chance my company was not serious enuf to submit the papers in time !
I am doubting the company , as they would have done all this intentionally to keep me in their co. for longer time!The returned letter they have provided me shows no reference no, file no, or either my name ! how can i believe if they have even submitted any papers for I485 or not ?
They say they can refile again .. but duno what to do ??
Can anybody be kind enough to help me out here!
I am so frustrated that I feel like going back to home country now.

Can you use your spouse's cross-changeability after you have filed for your I-140 already ? How time consuming is this for the USCIS to acknowledge ?

i am quite sure you can...infact you can do this at any stage including after filing I-485.
please verify with an attorney...you will need one to do it correctly.
