Thats good to know. But what was your basic education? I mean did you had a full-time bachelor's (eg. Engineering, Commerce, etc) degree when you appled for H1b?

I go this email on the I 140 which was filed with PERM in 2006 and was approved but this I 140 was never used.
I used another 140 based on my regular Labor filed in 2004 and got my GC a
few months back.
Today I got this email regarding the abandoned 140. What does this mean?

In the right hand column on the homepage the threads used to be listed in chronological order with the one containing the last post on top.
Now it has changed so that I get the threads listed randomly.
Tech gurus - is there a way to fix this so that I can see the latest post on top like I used to previously.

It seems that the TSC is processing the applications in the alphabetical order of the state. The info is based on some chinese forum. I am not sure how true the info is.
Are there any one from New York/New Jersey who have already got the receipt numbers? I have filed from NY and no info yet on our I-485. BTW, I am a july 2nd filer.

hI ATTY I am working under an h1b visa right now as of 2011. But i had a previous petitioned by another employer way back 2006. There was an I-140 filed but it was denied and I never heard from my petitioner then. I do have the USCIS copy and case number. Can I look for another employer and atty that could reopen the case?? Please help me. Thanks

Regarding coming back on F1 after being on H4... You should really consider talking to an attorney. With F1 visa you need to prove that you would come back to India at the time of stamping, but with your spouse being on H1 and in states.. how do you thing you can prove that you will come back to India when your spouse is in the states..

Hi,
I have my L1 Visa from X Company and I traveled to US for 2 months.
I also have my H1B Visa from Y Company stamped in my passport.
I am planning to enter US with my L1 Visa and then change my status to H1B after a month.
1) If I get a job, can I change my status from L1 to H1 within a month? Is there any minimum period to work on L1 for change of status?
2) Do I need the consent of my X Company for having the change of status to H1B done?
3) What documents are required for the change of status? I will not have my pay stubs during my stay on L1 status, as I will be paid just the per diam.
4) If I enter US with my H1B Visa and if I am deported to my Home country (because I just have 7 months) validity of my H1B (or) due to employer-employee relationship issue), can I still use my L1 Visa of my X Company to revisit US?
Please advise.

one does not have to advertise for H1, might be they are advertisement is for filing your Labor application for GC.

1. Does the business necessity need to show how the job duties match the course work during MS or why the job duties are needed for the company?
2. Do we need to send the business necessity at the time of applying for PERM or only when audited.

Both cards should arrive to the address that CIS has on file for the couple. The wife's departure from the US should not affect this. However, she needs to have the card to return to the US, ideally. Hopefully husband can send her the card.

Last time (in 2008) TSC was very fast in approving the cases, NSC was bit slow, thought it would be a good statistic at a glance on approvals.
